Custom Home Builder on the Wasatch Front

Breaking ground on a custom home is the biggest construction decision most families will ever make. PrimeWest Construction runs every custom build end-to-end — architect coordination, engineering, permitting, framing, finish carpentry, and the last punch item before handover. One accountable lead, one weekly Friday update, one completion date we commit to in writing.

Why PrimeWest

How we run this kind of work

  • Mountain-lot expertise from Alpine to Eagle Mountain (snow-load engineering, foundation variance, canyon-wind bracing).
  • Fixed-bid pricing as the default — cost-plus only when the client specifically requests it.
  • In-house rough and finish carpentry crews, plus a vetted bench for every other trade.
  • Weekly Friday update with photos, next-week schedule, and any decisions needed.

FAQ

Common questions

How long does a custom home typically take?
Most custom homes run 10–14 months from design lock to move-in, depending on lot, finish level, and permitting timeline. Mountain-lot builds on the upper end.
Fixed-bid or cost-plus?
We default to fixed-bid so the client has schedule and budget certainty. Cost-plus is an option when the client wants line-item visibility and controls change orders directly.
Do you handle the architect and engineer too?
Yes. We can coordinate both, or work with architects and engineers you've already hired. Either way, we own the permit runway.
Ready to scope it?
